Avoid That Nasty Nail Fungus At All Times
With winter now upon us and the wrapping up of our bodies and feet, the footwear that we indulge ourselves in to keep warm, slippers, boots, shoes, especially sneekers which sweat, can be a lovely breeding ground for fungi, which can be soooo painful under nails. They love to live in dark damp areas of your body, such as the groin, armpits, any skin which is so unfriendly that it goes into folds, under your breast and potbellies, and of course between the toes and fingers, but there is some good news, there are effective home cures for nail fungus.
Keeping your skin dry is the best way to keep breeding down to the minimum, as the wise old saying goes, “an ounce of prevention”…………So if you don’t want to be infected with nasty skin woes one of the prime things after making sure that your body is cleaned most days, is to dry the areas well after a shower or bath, crotch area, armpits and any skin on skin areas, as the fungus would love to take up residence in these areas.
If you have had fungi on your person or are a bit prone to it, make sure that you don’t put on clothes which you wore to the beach or dam back over the top of wet bathers, and just hang out with your mates for a few hours before showering. Rivers and dams are just breeding grounds for all sorts of unmentionable bacteria which can lead to ringworms, jock itch to name a few.
Sharing your personal items with anyone else can be a hazard, and even sharing a bed can be very dangerous!!!!! As we shed our skin all the time, minute pieces are everywhere, beds, towels, brushes, deodorant, nail clippers, and especially clothes which have been worn by someone else and not washed, and perhaps they have skin problems.
Public bathrooms and showers are a great way to pick up these little critters, and athlete’s foot is commonly spread around this way, so if you are in a camping area, showering in the gym, spas and resorts and sharing these facilities, make sure that you at least wear a pair of rubber slippers. Untreated athlete’s foot can lead to a nasty nail fungus and the need for a toenail fungus treatment, and it is also highly contagious throughout the family.
All manicure and pedicure salons are not as bad as you may see from time to time portrayed on programs on the television to shock you, but at the same time is is wise to watch and see and even ask if they sanitize their tools and foot spa, as you are going to put your feet where many others have been before you.
As with anything we are bound to pick up germs from time to time, unless you want to wrap yourself up in a bubble, so just be wise, and if you have nail fungus, you will need to get a product which can kill the fungus and treat the nail infection at the same time.
